About Our Consulting Services
Sturgis Family Pharmacy’s Consulting Services are available to men and women of any age. Consultations are by appointment only, either in person or on the telephone. Following the initial consultation, we custom tailor a regimen for our client. Sturgis Family Pharmacy has been working in tandem with health care providers for over 35 years helping patients receive customized therapy for their specific health needs. If necessary, we send a recommendation to the client’s health care provider for approval. We ask that our clients verify approval of their prescription prior to stopping in to pick it up or expecting it to be shipped. Upon approval by the health care provider, the prescription will be available for pick up or delivery within 24 business hours.
Functional Medicine
Functional Medicine is a health care approach applying integrative, science-based therapies to help promote wellness focusing on assessment of the biochemically unique aspects of each patient, and then individually tailoring interventions to restore physiological, psychological, and structural balance. This involves emphasis on the cause of the symptom rather than the symptom itself.
Diet, Nutraceuticals and Vitamin Supplementation: A healthy diet is key to optimal health. A diet rich in: vegetables, fruits, whole grains, essential fats, fat free or low-fat milk and milk products, lean meats, poultry, fish, beans, eggs, and nuts is recommended. Unfortunately, the fast-paced lifestyle of many American's very often leads to a diet lacking the essential foods that should be present in a healthy diet. Supplementation and nutraceuticals can be used to gain these vital nutrients to get yourself back on the path towards a healthier life. Supplement requirements are unique to each client based on diet, present health condition, and lifestyle. We carry a variety of high quality products to ensure optimal absorption and effect.
Lifestyle Modifications, adequate exercise, and stress management techniques are important to implement as they play an important role in our health. Ecessive use of alcohol/recreational drugs, some prescription medications and certain disease states affect our well-being.

A professional assistant will then contact you to schedule an appointment. A medical questionair (CPHHQ) will be sent to you to complete and turn in prior to your appointment. We ask that the staff is informed if there are time limitations involved with scheduling (ex. I have no more than 20 minutes). We highly recommend arriving to the initial consultation 15 minutes prior to the appointment. Arriving more than 10 minutes late may cause your appointment to be cancelled and rescheduled. Please give 24 hour cancellation notice.
